UVISA is looking for a Mobile App Developer responsible for developing and maintaining a cross-platform mobile application for Android and iOS that will be a key in UVISA’s light-based treatment solution.

The app will require a seamless user interface, robust Bluetooth communication, and potential backend integration. You will work closely with our hardware development team to deliver an intuitive and responsive user experience that interacts with our hardware.

What We’re Looking For

  • A good eye for user experience, with the ability to build clean, intuitive, and responsive mobile interfaces.
  • Basic understanding of backend systems and database design (e.g., REST APIs, SQL, Firebase) — enough to integrate frontend with backend.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Passion for developing meaningful technology - A keen interest in HealthTech is a bonus!

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication to interface with our hardware device (Custom Profile).
  • Work with our team to create a seamless, user-friendly experience.
  • Integrate backend APIs and manage data synchronisation where required.
  • Handle app deployment, provisioning, and testing on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Debug, test, and optimise performance across various devices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
